Personal Finance Education Presentations & Scholarships As the new school year begins, the Missouri Collectors Association is pleased to offer a Personal Finance Education Program to our Missouri High Schools. This class is structured to be presented to Juniors and Seniors, although everyone can benefit. We have presented this class over the past three years at various High Schools in two different venues with a tremendously positive response from our schools. We have presented to open assemblies and in individual classroom settings.
The Personal Finance Education Program is an interactive power point presentation that lasts approximately 50 minutes. It is an informative class emphasizing the importance of a solid financial foundation and encourages personal financial responsibility, and what young adults may be facing as they start establishing their credit history and make long-term financial decisions. There is no cost to the High Schools or students and we provide all materials for them to take when they leave.
The Missouri Collectors Association is once again pleased to be awarding a $1,000.00 Scholarship to a 2009 graduating High School Senior in the spring of 2009. Under the scholarship tab you will find information regarding the scholarship and it’s requirements. This is a great opportunity for students to become more aware of their personal financial responsibilities as they prepare for their future. We have provided an easy to print flyer for our schools to post or hand out to their students to assist in letting them know this wonderful opportunity is available to them.
